The Poetry Showcase: Working-Class Poets

Kitchen Revolt Productions joined up with cultural organisers from working-class communities for this online event from the National Poetry Library and Southbank Centre.
Huge thanks to SAUCYSEZ for joining us to read her poem Tough Cookie.
We were spoilt for choice with readings from Janine Booth, Richard Downes, Allan Sutherland and Wendy Young – poets who defy easy categorisation and whose work explores the intersection of personal experience, including disability, and politics.
We took part along side an array of fantastic working-class organisations such as Raising the Equality Bar, Cockney Cultures, Poets’ Strike and the 7.9%.
